We will begin again to up date this blog.
Not much had happened until 11/16/10. In the middle of nowhere, the starboard engine sent a strange noise/vibration like sound up to the bridge. We anchored quickly to diagnose the problem. After shutting down the engine, we discovered that the fresh water pump's bearing was the cause of the noise. The water pump needed to be rebuilt.
The next 3 days we used the port engine to push us to the St. Johns River and Ortega Landing Marina. The bright side is that the fuel consumption was cut a third of normal.
At the Marina, I removed the water pump to bring home. We left the marina on 11/21 to spend the Holidays with our family.
